Pink Christmas Joy

Today, I would like to share a project I made for Papertrey Ink's Make it Monday Challenge.  Lizzie provided us with a great tutorial showcasing pearlized blending and I am hooked.  Don't forget to play along as one lucky winner will receive a $25 gift certificate to shop in their store.

For my project, I decided to create a pink shimmery tree.

I used PTI's Sweet Blush and  Tim Holtz' Spun Sugar Distress Ink for blending.

The deer image was purchased from the Cameo Shoppe and adhered to an epoxy dome.

Snowflake Sparkles, Tinsel and Tags, and  Christmas Joy Stamp sets were used to create the background papers.

Papertrey Ink October 2015 Blog Hop Challenge

Happy Sunday!  I hope everyone is having a great weekend.  We are getting ready to go to the pumpkin patch with the kiddos...cannot wait!

I have a couple of projects to share for Papertrey's Monthly Blog Hop.  No doubt this month's photo provided inspiration for everyone.  Who doesn't love all those beautiful reds and greens?

 Blog hop inspiration

From the ornaments to the sprigs to the little balls of string, there were numerous ways to be inspired by this little box of treasure.  My mind fell for those happy Christmas colors.  I simply love red and green.

For my first project, I decided to create a card using PTI's Happy Hexagon Stamp Set.  I wanted to create multiple red and green patterns so I used the cover plate and stamps to create the look I wanted before using PTI's Christmas Tree die to cut out the tree.

Countdown Details and a Vintage Cream Mix button were used to create the sentiment.

Next, is a project I created for my sweet Addy.  She has really long 'Rapunzel hair,' as she calls it.  She loves it and while she has beautiful hair, she's only four years old and it rarely stays out of her face.  So, we decided to make some Christmas barrettes for the upcoming holiday season.

Aren't these darling?  I cannot believe how easy these were to pull together using PTI's Clever Barrette Dies.

The wonderful thing is, you don't have to know how to sew to create these little cuties.  We have future plans to create more of these.

I couldn't resist playing with my new Holiday Lane set.  I simply adore the mason jar toppers.  I will never tire of creating these magical little spaces.  I am thrilled with the newest addition.

It's a tad difficult for a non-photographer like myself to snag a picture of these without a glare but I just had to share.

Lastly, a few quick tags I made using PTI's Minute to Make Stamps and Dies.  Simple but cute!

Papertrey Ink Make it Monday #227

Hi, there!  I wanted to share a quick tag I made for Papertrey's Make it Monday Challenge.  This week, Lexi challenged us to create a project using a stamped focal cluster.  This was a perfect challenge as I often use a number of dies and embellishments to create my focal point.  Check out her tutorial to learn more.

For this challenge I chose to use PTI's new Holiday Lane stamp set.  I love, love, love this darling little set.  Candy canes and peppermints, gingerbread men and Santa's sleigh...all things that bring smiles and warmth to my heart.

Isn't that gingerbread house irresistible?  I love all the little details.

Crafty Secrets October 2015 Linky Party

Hi, I wanted to share a project I made for this month's Crafty Secrets Linky Party. I decided to make an advent calendar for the kiddos. I loved advent calendars as a child and even as an adult, they make me smile. Something about that little treat each day makes counting down to the holiday that much more special. This one is loaded up with candy corn.

I spray painted the box in Gun Metal before adhering various papers from Crafty Secrets' Digital Vintage Halloween Jumbo Download Kit.  This has to be my favorite kit from CS.  It offers so many beautiful Halloween papers and images.

Lots of spooky embellishments for added fun...

Papertrey Ink's Create Along with Us Challenge

Hi, there!  It has been a couple of weeks since I posted and I am incredibly happy to be back.  I hurt my neck so I couldn't craft and I missed it dearly!

I made a couple of projects for Papertrey's Create Along with Us Challenge.  I fell in love with every single item from this month's release and have already placed an order for a few things...I am anxiously awaiting my package as I am sure many of you are.
As usual, there were too many inspirational projects produced by the design team this month so I decided to create around several of them.  Who can pick just one when everything they make turns to paper crafting gold? For my first project, I decided to create a Christmas Clothespin in honor of Betsy's Holiday Pin-Ups kit.  I am thrilled she created this darling little set.  I love, love, love my Halloween Pin-Ups and intend on giving them to my daughter's preschool class come October 31.  I used my kit to die cut the robin's egg blue paper and then stamped my sentiment using Wreath for All Seasons.  I sparkled up the tree with Martha Stewart glitter.  Holiday Folk Stamps were used to create the tree and the tag was cut from PTI's Stitched Tag die.
My next project is a card I created with a myriad of inspiration from the design team ladies.  I've had snowflakes, candy canes, and holly on the brain after seeing this month's release of Snowflake Sparkle, Holiday Lane, and Spruce and Sprigs stamp sets.  I chose a layout that Melissa shared with us a few days ago to put it all together.  She is a master at creating layers and depth.  I didn't layer quite as much as she did but I still love how it turned out.
Papertrey's Candy Cane, Damask Snowflake, and Tinsel and Tags Dies were used to create the centerpiece for my card.
I used stamps from Tinsel and Tags to create the Holly background paper and used the Coffee Cozy Details Die Collection to add trees to my patterned paper.
