Gradient Die Cuts

Hi, there. I have a couple of quick projects for this week's Make it Monday.  Dawn shared how to create gradient die cuts. So fun.  It makes me feel like a kid when I use watercolors.

We are in the middle of putting our home on the market so I will check in later to add some links to products. I am trying to do everything by phone and I have come to the realization that there are just some things I prefer to use a computer for!

The first project was created using a Heidi Swapp die.

It wasn't until I completed it that I realized the only Papertrey product I used was Stamper's Select. Hmmm...that didn't sit quite right with me so I decided to throw together a quick tag so as to better comply with challenge rules.

I used PTI's Minute to Make die and Wet Paint Holiday stamps and dies to create this little tag.

Cash Card

Hi.  I hope everyone's week is off to a good start.  Today's project was created for Papertrey Ink's Make it Monday.  This week, Lexi shows us how to incorporate money gifts onto our cards.  You should check out the darling little shirt she created!

Here's my take on the challenge:

I decided to create a few candles with my bills since I am not quite as talented with origami as Lexi.

I used PTI's Party Pops Kit to create the flames.  The background and sentiment were stamped with Hooray.

simple life...

Hi, there.  I wanted to share a quick card I made for Papertrey Ink's Make it Monday.  Lizzie shared how to ink blend using die cut masks.  I love how beautiful her card turned out. Stop by and check out her tutorial.

I decided to use PTI's Scene it: Skyskapes die to create my stencil.  I cut my mask from vellum and used PTI's Spring Rain to blend in the sky.

The scalloped note card and balloons are from PTI's Party Pop kit...one of my favorites! The balloons were stamped in Pure Poppy, Summer Sunrise, and Bright Buttercup.

The sweet little sentiment is from Twig Wreath.

Christmas in May...

Hi, there.  Sharing a little card set I created for Papertrey's Make it Monday challenge.  Melissa showed us a few techniques to create beautiful water colored card sets.  Stop by and check out her stunning cards!

I went a little unconventional and decided to make some Christmas cards for this challenge-in unconventional colors!  Who says you can only make holiday cards in December?

Here's my take on today's challenge:

I colored the poinsettia using various PTI inks, distress inks, and my watercolor pen.  I must admit, I love playing with my water pen but water coloring is incredibly challenging for me.

I dabbed a little Versamark on the pinecones and brushed on some gold perfect pearls.

Another in various shades of gold.
