Papertrey October 2016 Blog Hop

Quick post today for Papertrey Ink's October Blog Hop.  Don't you just love the inspiration photo?

Beautiful.

Here's my take:

Irresistable little guy...makes me smile everytime.

I used PTI's Autumn Pumpkins.  I couldn't resist turning these little guys into Jack-O-Lanterns using the Pumpkin Expressions set.  So stinkin' cute!

Make it Monday #265: Layered Dry Brushing

I think Make it Monday Challenges are the best.  The ladies over at Papertrey come up with lots of creative ideas to help us improve or add new techniques to our arsenal.  This week was no different. Lizzie included acylic paint in her project today and I absolutely love how it turned out.  It's also something I never utilize in my cards so I appreciate this challenge.

Here's my take:

I started off by brushing watercolor cardstock in pale blue and green acrylic paints.

Spruce and Sprigs was used to create this little winter cluster.

I layered the Christmas Cheer die cuts to add a little dimension.

A Winter Hello...

Happy Sunday!  I hope everyone is having a great day.  I am participating in this week's Make it Monday.  Melissa Phillips shared some beautiful projects she created using diecuts as background stencils.  Don't forget to stop by and check out her tutorial.

Here's my take on the challenge:

I used Damask snowflake to create my background.

I inked these fab flakes in red, aqua mist, and tropical teal.

I added a little sparkle with some diamond stickles...a favorite crafting accessory for this time of year!

Oh, and below is a peek at little man's handiwork for the day.  While I was crafting, he snuck off with my Tropical Teal inkpad. I didn't know it until my 5 year old started screaming. Thankfully, my house and carpet went unscathed, however, he did not!  He was covered from head to toe in what was probably only 60 seconds.  I would show you a full pic but I immediately put him in the tub and don't want to share online.  What a stinker, though!

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a wonderful Sunday!

Christmas Critters

Hi, there!  Playing along in this week's Make it Monday over at Papertrey Ink.  This week, Amy shows us how to use frame dies to build fabulous backgrounds for our projects.

Here's my take on the challenge:

I started by using the In Stitches Die to create my background.

PTI's Christmas Critters was used to create these little cuties.  I am completely hooked on this set.  It is definitely a new favorite!

Probably the only mouse in the world I wouldn't mind having a cup of coffee with :)
