Papertrey May Blog Hop Challenge

Hi, there and Happy Memorial Day!  I wanted to share a quick card I made for Papertrey Ink's May Blog Hop Challenge.  This month's challenge was to make a bright and cheery project using the following photo as inspiration.

Blog Hop Inspiration

My son's birthday is around the corner and I thought this color scheme would work perfectly for a boy's birthday card.

Spellbinders' 5 piece star set was used to cut the stars.  Such an easy and festive card to put together.

The stamped sentiment is from PTI's Heart-2-Heart #9 mini stamp set...such a darling little set!

Crafty Secrets May Linky Party

Happy Friday!  Here's another project created for the Crafty Secrets May Linky Party.  Don't forget to link up a project as one lucky individual will when a nice prize bundle!

The sentiment is from CS' digital Flower Garden Stamp Set.  Isn't that just the cutest little saying?   It was printed on clear vellum.

Don't you absolutely love this floral paper?  I love everything about it.  Sandy over at CS is giving it away to all those who participate in this month's linky party.  Make sure play along to get yours!

I cut the tag using Papertrey Ink's stitched tag die

Butterflies...

Hello. I wanted to share a quick gift tag I made for my daughter's friend. She's turning five today and I hope she will enjoy the bright colors my daughter chose for this project.

After cutting the tag, I heat embossed the swirled flowers in snow embossing powder. Next, I colored the tag using Tim Holtz' Picked Raspberry and various yellow and orange gelatos.

I stamped the butterflies with Adirondack black ink and applied some perfect pearls for shimmer.

I love the color combo...so fun!

Sunshine Headed Your Way

Hello, there.  Today, I want to share a project created for two different challenges:  Papertrey Ink and Crafty Secrets...my two favorite crafting companies!

For the CS Linky Party, one lucky winner will win a slew of prizes so long as any CS product is used in the project. I used the CS Sunflower digital art stamp and colored with Inktense colored pencils.

For PTI's Make it Monday, the challenge is to use gelatos or some other medium to make your stamped images pop.  Melissa Phillips offers a great tutorial if you've never used gelatos before.  If nothing else, you should stop by and check out the beautiful project she created using this technique. She is truly talented!

Butter cream, lemon, and mango gelatos were used on this project.  I used PTI's stitched rectangles for the tag.

Vintage Photo Distress Stickles was used on the center of the sunflower.
