Papertrey June Blog Hop Challenge

Hi. I hope everyone is having a great week. Today's project was created for
Papertrey Ink's June Blog Hop Challenge. This month's challenge inspiration comes from this darling little pair of baby booties.

Don't you just love?  I am over the moon for those beautiful grey and cream stripes with that beautiful pop of orange color.

I chose to create a card for my project. I printed of some grey diagonals onto PTI's vintage cream cardstock and stamped Mini Blooms in spiced marmalade for my background.

I cut the tag using PTI's tag sale #5 before stamping the bella toile print in smokey shadow

I used PTI's Perfect Patches die, background basics: gingham, and mini blooms to create the layers and sentiment.

Such a fun color scheme. Don't forget to join in today's challenge and leave some love for the many talented individuals who play along!

Papertrey Ink's Make it Monday #215

Hello. I wanted to share a quick card I made for PTI's Make it Monday. This week's challenge was to create a card by bringing the inside out.  Danielle's got a really fun tutorial for you to check out.

I used PTI's Mini Blooms stamp set and die to create the background and focal point for my card.

PTI's red poppy, new leaf, and Tim Holtz' distress markers in mustard seed and peeled paint were used to color the flowers.

Papertrey Ink's Make it Monday #214

Happy Wednesday!  Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by.

Today's project is for Papertrey Ink's Make it Monday.  This week's challenge was to create a project  stamping with neutrals.  Dawn has a great tutorial if you want to check it out.

For my project, I chose to stamp my background in PTI's smokey shadow.  I love this color but have never used it to create a background.  I inked up my Stampin' Up Patterned Pines snowflake stamp and stamped it once on some scrap paper to help lighten the finished look on my tag.

Pure Poppy Cardstock was used for the flower...I absolutely love how brilliant this color is.  I used Spellbinders' Layered Poinsetta to cut it out before sprinkling with Martha Stewart glitter.

The tag was cut from PTI's Tag Sale #3.

Hail to the Male

Hello. I hope everyone had a great weekend. I wanted to share a few quick projects I made for the Crafty Secrets June Linky Party.  This month's theme is a tribute to to the boys so I decided to wrap up a few Father's Day cards and tags that needed to get done.

Sandy is offering up a great prize package to one lucky winner so be sure to stop by and link up a project.  ONE of the prizes is their handsome Barber Shop Digital Kit.  The bow tie paper and the dapper little guy below come in the kit but everyone who participates in the linky gets to keep these sweet little images free of charge.

I used Papertrey Ink's Scene it Basic Backer Die and their Skyscapes Dies to create the backdrop behind this little gentleman.  Isn't he the cutest?  I used Inktense Colored Pencils on him...I love, love, love my pencils!

Oddly enough, I don't own ANY Father's Day stamps which is terrible since I am married to the most amazing man and father of three.  I will have to rectify that later but for now, I just typed up a sentiment in MS Word and cut out.

Such a handsome guy...

For the tag and flower, I used a variety of papers from the Barber Shop Kit.  I couldn't wait to see who wins the linky so I went ahead and purchased from their store.  It was just too cute to pass up.

I used vellum on the chevron paper to soften it a bit and then adhered some Sizzix cut letters and added a sentiment from PTI's Mini Blooms stamp set.

The 'man'liest flower ever made :).

For this card, I decided to make a shirt.  My little one loves this so I am not certain she will be able to hold off giving it to her Dad until Father's Day.  Again, I used papers from the Barber Shop Kit and the sentiment from PTI's Mini Blooms.

Thanks for looking!  Get crafty.
