Papertrey March Blog Hop Challenge

Hello.  Today's card was created for Papertrey Ink's March Blog Hop Challenge.  This is my first time to participate in their Blog Hop and I cannot wait to see everyone's projects. Check out the photo they chose for our inspiration.  I love the color scheme.

Papertrey Ink's Aqua Mist cardstock is beautiful against vibrant yellow.

I chose to use a PTI free printable as my centerpiece.

Don't you just love polka dots?  And flowers?

Naturally Sweet

Hello, again.  I hope everyone is having a great week.

Today's card highlights this week's Papertrey Ink Make It Monday Challenge of stamping and mixing patterns.  The challenge requires the use of three different stamped patterns and at least one PTI product in order to participate.

I've been on a bee kick lately so I thought I would use one of my favorite little stamps from Crafty Secrets to help create a pattern for my larger background.

I thought this was a great challenge.  The bee stamp was the smallest stamp used on this project but was utilized to create the largest pattern.  I needed a little reminder that I don't have to use larger stamps to make background images.

I used Stampin' Up's Houndstooth on the scalloped circle and a Recollection's stamp to create the striped circle.  The stitched tag was cut using one of my favorite PTI dies.

Martha Stewart Edge Punch and Circle Edge Punches were used to create the black doily and larger black background.

Wish Upon a Confetti Star

It's time again for Papertrey Ink's Make It Monday challenge.  This week's challenge is to create a project using the confetti cluster stamping technique.  Check out their tutorial here

I used PTI's Tag Sale #10 to cut the tag and banner for the sentiment.

I used a Spellbinders die to trace the larger star onto my tag before inking in layers of smaller stars. The star stamps and sentiments are from Crafty Secrets

Everything was adhered to PTI's aqua mist cardstock...my FAVORITE color!

St. Patrick's Day Sweetheart

Happy Friday!  Thanks so much for stopping by.  Today's project will be entered into the Artistic Inspiration Anything Goes/Green challenge.  It is centered around a FREE image gifted by Sandy over at Crafty Secrets.

Such a simple layout but so fun to put together.

I am thrilled to have this little darling in my collection.  She is too cute!

I love the little shamrock border.

The doily was cut with a Martha Stewart Circle edge punch and gold Stickles were applied to the outer edges of the card.

The doily was layered over Recollections gold foil paper.

Smooshed

Hi.  I wanted to share a quick project I made for Papertrey Ink's Make it Monday Challenge.  Each submission must use the 'smooshing' technique in order to qualify for the chance to win a $25 gift card.

Luckily, one of the DT leaders offers a great tutorial on 'smooshing' because I had never heard of this term before.  To sum it up, ink a sheet of acetate with a variety of colors, spritz with a bit of water, roll the droplets around until the colors collide, and then 'smoosh' a piece of paper against the results.  It's pretty fun but be careful when rolling the water around on the acetate if you craft in a carpeted room...the water got away from me and I have a lovely shade of Picked Raspberry on my floor!

I used PTI's stitched tag die and covered with vellum to soften up the look.  I 'smooshed' the heart in the same colors and left uncovered.

Pure Honey

Hello.  I wanted to share a little tag I made for the Really Reasonable Ribbon Challenge.  I used burlap paper and one of my favorite little stamp sets from Crafty Secrets called Queen Bee

I don't know what it is about bees but I think they are too cute (on paper)!

Spellbinders dies were used to cut the flower and scalloped circle.

I used black embroidery floss to stitch together the tag and pocket.

I applied clear Stickles to the wings and used Inktense colored pencils to yellow the bee and sentiment.

Don't forget to play along in the RRR113 Challenge.  Also, stop by the Crafty Secrets blog.  The Linky Party is still underway and Sandy is giving away a beautiful digital paper and stamp to all who play along.

Cherish Pocket Tag

Hello! I hope everyone had a lovely weekend.  Today kicks off my daughter's spring break and I am so excited to have that bit of extra time with her.  She is only in preschool a few hours a week but with the new baby, I have been stretched thin. Hopefully we can get some mom and daughter time in during Little Man's naps.

Today's tag is primarily made from Papertrey Ink products.  I used embroidery floss to stitch together the pink felt and vellum cut from their Stitched Tag die.

Tag sale #5 was used to cut out the inner tag and was embellished using
PI's Tiny Tag II stamp set and Stitched Pinked Edge Label die.

All My Heart

Hello. I thought I would share a quick tag I put together using Papertrey Ink's Tag Sale #10 die.  I love the variety of tag dies they have to offer and plan to add more to my stash pretty soon.

The aqua mist cardstock was cut from Spellbinders' Basic Lattice die.  The frame and heart were cut from pink stiff felt.

Tiny Tags II stamp set and die were used to create the attached sentiment.

Darling Bunnies

Hello.  Here are a few quick tags I put together using Crafty Secrets' Happy Easter Stamp Set. It looks like Sandy is offering up this set, along with several others, in a fabulous Spring Giveaway.  One lucky individual will win and all you have to do to enter is leave a comment on her post.  It doesn't get much easier than that!

Also, don't forget to play along in this month's Crafty Secrets Linky Party.  There are some lovely freebies for those who choose to enter!

I had so much fun coloring these little cuties.  This tag was cut using robin's egg blue paper-such a nice spring color.  I love this little guy carrying around his basket of babies.

Isn't this Momma Bunny precious?

And this...so cute!

I used Papertrey Ink's Tag Sale #8 die to cut all of the tags.

Hello...

Happy Monday.  I hope everyone had a great weekend. I'm quite certain it didn't last long enough!

It's time to share this month's Crafty Secrets Linky Party project with you.  I love the freebies we've been given to play with this month.

The pretty paper is from their Digital Garden Paper Kit.  I covered the tag portion with clear vellum and left the lacey circle as is.  I really like this shade of green.

The image itself is from the CS Garden Girls Digital Art Stamp Set.  It is such a sweet little picture.   I think I will have to print another and pull out my Inktense Colored Pencils.

I cut the tag from Papertrey ink's Stitched Tag Die. The 'Hello' sentiment is from one of Crafty Secrets' Postcard stamp sets.
