Papertrey Ink's Make it Monday #244

Hi, there.  I am playing along in this week's Make it Monday.  This week, Laurie showed us how to add score lines to our projects to add a little extra detail.  Stop by and check out her tutorial if you want to play along!

I decided to pull out my Party Pops Kit for this challenge.  I can never seem to get enough of the sweet little images in this set.  There's just something about balloons and cupcakes that always makes me smile.

I stamped my cupcake on vellum and adhered it to a piece of white cardstock cut from the same die. Score lines were added as a border between the cupcake and sentiment.

Papertrey Ink's March 2016 Blog Hop Challenge

Good morning!  It's the 25th of the month and you know what that means...time for Papertrey Ink's Monthly Blog Hop Challenge.  I can't wait to see what everyone creates.  This month's photos were truly interesting and inspirational.  What do you think?

I fell in love those bright, beautiful colors propped against that smoky backdrop. Here's my take on the challenge:

I weathered my heart to give it that smoky effect...

The flowers were stamped in Summer Sunrise, Bright Buttercup, Pure Poppy, New Leaf, and Orange Zest.

I used PTI's Stitches and Swirls and Solid Stitches and Swirls to create the embroidered look.

Such a fun challenge!

Thanks for stopping by. I appreciate you!

Papertrey Ink's Make it Monday #243

Good morning!  I hope everyone is having a great week.  Today, I am playing along with Papertrey Ink's Make it Monday Challenge.  Dani has challenged us to create a project by ink blending over heat embossing.  Stop by and check out her tutorial if you want to play along.

Here is my take on the challenge:

I started by using the negative from Papertrey Ink's Stitched Primitive Hearts Die and heat embossed it in white using the script from Background Basics:  Heart Stamp Set.

Next, I used the ink blending technique to color my background.

I used gold embossing powder for my sentiment and Raspberry Fizz, Summer Sunrise, New Leaf, and Bright Buttercup to stamp the flowers.  The flowers and sentiment are both from PTI's Mini Blooms Stamp Set.

Thanks for stopping by!  I look forward to your creations!

It's Your Birthday...

Good afternoon!  Today, I am playing along in Papertrey Ink's Create Along With Us Challenge.  I love it when this challenge rolls around as it means many new goodies are about to be released.  I am super excited for this month's new birthday stamps and sentiments and was inspired by the lot of cards that Heather Nichols created with products from the upcoming release.  Stop by and check out her beautiful designs.

Here's what she inspired me to create:

I used PTI's Party Pop Kit to create these sweet little balloons.

Hibiscus Burst, Hawaiian Shores, Limeade Ice, and Summer Sunrise inks were used.

Stamps from Confetti Toss were inked in Bright Buttercup and Hawaiian Shores to create the background.

Who doesn't love a nice little surprise inside?

Thanks for stopping by.  I look forward to seeing what inspired you!

Sunshine Headed Your Way

Hi.  Below is this week's MFT Sketch Challenge #271.

Here is my take on the challenge:

I cannot seem to put down Papertrey's 2016 Anniversary stamp set.  Don't you love these painted petals?

I used lovely lady, mint julep, sweet blush, and bright buttercup inks from Papertrey to create my card.

Gelatos were used to add a little pop of color underneath each of the blossoms.

Thanks for stopping by.  I look forward to seeing what you create.

Hugs and Sunshine

Hi, there!  Playing along in this week's MFT color challenge.  I fell instantly in love with the color scheme...daffodil, sour apple, gumdrop green, and biscotti.

I cannot take credit for the design of the card as I totally lifted it after seeing Amy Sheffer's design over at Pickled Paper Designs.  She is truly talented and her creation was one I couldn't get out of my head until I could recreate it.  Please stop by and check out the many lovely projects she created with Papertrey Ink's Painted Petals.

Here is my project for this week's challenge:

Papertrey Ink's Bright Buttercup, Harvest Gold, New Leaf, Vintage Jadeite, and Classic Kraft were used to create these lovely florals.

Thanks for stopping by!  I can't wait to see what you create!

Papertrey Ink's Painted Petals

Good morning!  Today I have a few small cards to share with you that I created for Papertrey's Make it Monday.  Our challenge this week is to create a project using the sponged stamping technique.  Don't forget to stop by and check out Dawn's tutorial and play along.

I chose to use the newly released PTI Anniversary stamp set.  I could play with this set all day.  It is beautiful!

I stamped my flower in PTI's new color Bright Buttercup along with Orange Zest and Canyon Clay.

Sweet blush, Berry Sorbet, and Raspberry Fizz were used to color these petals.

I applied New Leaf, Vintage Jadeite, and Aqua Mist on all the stems using Dawn's sponge technique.

Isn't this a neat technique?  I love how each color softly fades on to the next.

Winter Wisteria, Autumn Rose, and Scarlet Jewel were used on this little flower.  I think it may just be my favorite of the bunch.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge #270

Hi, there. I stumbled across the MFT Challenge Blog and wanted to play along!  I love the idea of a sketch challenge theme.  Below is the layout for Wednesday's Sketch Challenge #270.

I have been dying to use my Stitched Primitive Heart die from Papertrey.  Isn't it the cutest?  I don't imagine I will put it away for a very long time.

I cut the heart from sweet blush cardstock before stamping with the stitches and swirls collection.

PTI's hibiscus burst, sweet blush, and pure poppy inks were used to create these sweet little flowers.

My sentiment is from the Tiny Tags stamp set.

Thanks for stopping by!  Don't forget to play along in this week's challenge!
