Let It Snow

Hi, there.  It's been awhile since my last post but I'm back to play along in Papertrey's Create Along with Us Challenge.  This month, I was most inspired by Melissa's sweet little pink creation.  I simply adore how girlie it is!

Ptithick5

Isn't it beautiful? Melissa is truly talented!

Here's my take on the challenge:

My first project is a tag.  I fell in love with Melissa's frame so I decided to use one for this project; however, I wanted to stick with a Christmas theme.

Don't you just love those darling vintage cream buttons?

The holly border and sentiment is from PTI's Love Lives Here Holiday Set.

I decided to create a card for my next project.

The little trees are from PTI's Joyful Christmas stamps/dies.

The background flakes are from the Quilted Winter set.

The sentiment was cut from the Christmas Cheer die.

Make it Monday #265: Layered Dry Brushing

I think Make it Monday Challenges are the best.  The ladies over at Papertrey come up with lots of creative ideas to help us improve or add new techniques to our arsenal.  This week was no different. Lizzie included acylic paint in her project today and I absolutely love how it turned out.  It's also something I never utilize in my cards so I appreciate this challenge.

Here's my take:

I started off by brushing watercolor cardstock in pale blue and green acrylic paints.

Spruce and Sprigs was used to create this little winter cluster.

I layered the Christmas Cheer die cuts to add a little dimension.

A Winter Hello...

Happy Sunday!  I hope everyone is having a great day.  I am participating in this week's Make it Monday.  Melissa Phillips shared some beautiful projects she created using diecuts as background stencils.  Don't forget to stop by and check out her tutorial.

Here's my take on the challenge:

I used Damask snowflake to create my background.

I inked these fab flakes in red, aqua mist, and tropical teal.

I added a little sparkle with some diamond stickles...a favorite crafting accessory for this time of year!

Oh, and below is a peek at little man's handiwork for the day.  While I was crafting, he snuck off with my Tropical Teal inkpad. I didn't know it until my 5 year old started screaming. Thankfully, my house and carpet went unscathed, however, he did not!  He was covered from head to toe in what was probably only 60 seconds.  I would show you a full pic but I immediately put him in the tub and don't want to share online.  What a stinker, though!

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a wonderful Sunday!

Christmas Critters

Hi, there!  Playing along in this week's Make it Monday over at Papertrey Ink.  This week, Amy shows us how to use frame dies to build fabulous backgrounds for our projects.

Here's my take on the challenge:

I started by using the In Stitches Die to create my background.

PTI's Christmas Critters was used to create these little cuties.  I am completely hooked on this set.  It is definitely a new favorite!

Probably the only mouse in the world I wouldn't mind having a cup of coffee with :)

Here's my project:

Hi, there.  I have a quick post today with some projects created for PTI's monthly blog hop challenge. I love the combo of blush and neutral in this month's inspiration photo:

Here's my take on the challenge:

I used Sweet Blush, Fine Linen, Canyon Clay, and Memento's Angel Pink Ink to create my background.

Those sweet little acorns and sentiment are from PTI's new Give Thanks stamp set.  Love it!

Another take on the challenge:

I used Papertrey's Water Color Wonder paper and the sentiment is from their 2016 Anniversary set

The butterfly is from PTI's Life is Beautiful.

Make it Monday: Cover Plate Tags

Hi, there!  I hope everyone's week is off to a good start.  We are moving this week so my house is in a bit of disarray right now...ok, a lot of disarray!

Today's project was created for PTI's Make it Monday.  This week, Laurie shows us how to create cover plate tags.  Don't forget to stop by the blog and check out her tutorial.

Here's my take on the challenge:

I decided to use my Candy Corn Collage Die to implement this technique.  I suppose it isn't technically labeled as a cover plate but to me, this die is just a mini version of a cover plate so I wanted to try it out.

I began by cutting out my candy corn and then placed the Tag Sale #10 die over the candy corn die cut before running it through my machine.

I love this little handsome fellow from Polka Dot Parade. He always makes me smile.

Here's my take on her card:

I used Papertrey's Happy Spooky Stamps and Dies to create my card.

I just love this little bat...such a cutie!

SAF 2016: Farewell

Popping in to include my farewell post for Papertrey's #stampafaire2016.  This year's events have been so much fun to participate in.  Each of the DT members gave incredible tutorials on how to execute amazing projects and I am so glad to have gotten to see them doing their own thing in their own space.  It's kind of fun to see how differently each of you work!  Thanks for all you do!  It was fun to play along!

Here's a pic of me and one of the cards I created from this year's festivities:

Thanks again!  I look forward to next year!

SAF 2016: Color Blocking with Lexi Daly

Hello...again.  Dropping in to post my card for the Color Block Challenge with Lexi Daly.  Her Campbell's soup card is so stinkin' cute!  Make sure you pop over and check it out.

PTI July 2016 Blog Hop

Hi, there!  Playing along in Papertrey Ink's July Blog Hop.  I am crazy for the colors in this month's inspiration photo.

Aren't you in love? Aqua and melon=happiness.

Here's my take on the challenge:

I used Twig Wreath  and Chevron Stripes to create this card.  I stamped the wreath in Soft Stone and inked my flowers in Aqua Mist, Blueberry Sky, and Melon Berry.
